Man in the Moon

I think I’m glad to say
That the last time you were alive,
You were still the same.

There’s not too much to do
Except repudiate my screams
Oh, they’re silent, to you
And to most people, too

Quiet as dreams
And things like that, I guess,
And I wish I was for love
So that I’d have some sort
Of purity about me,
But I guess I’ll leave purity
To something better,
Like the sun

And, you know?
I’m not too good at saying
Exactly what I mean,
But I talk a lot, so eventually
I’ll say exactly what I mean.
